Afternoon in Ireland

Irish Club of Alaska presents the 37th Annual Afternoon in Ireland. This year’s show The Otherworld explores the myths of Irish folklore, focusing on Leprechauns, Silkies, Banshees and Fairies.

Featured performers include Laughing Molly, Jubilee, The Irish Dance Academy of Alaska, The Treble Makers, Du Pris, Dawn Berg, Christine Janko, Rebecca Wolverton, Colum the Shanachie, Kirsten Gustafson and more.

The Otherworld will offer up stories, songs, poetry and dance in celebration of the rich culture of the Irish World of Fairies. We will delve into their history, the fairy realm, and various types of fairies. These include the Banshee, Leprechaun, Silkie and trouping Fairies – the ones we are most familiar with, the type who love music and dancing.
